Schmid have made some upgrades to the USTL boiler in terms of a new deashing system and further control developments
The new deashing system uses a central auger below the main combustion chamber and heat exchanger. This improves and simplifies the previous system. The touch screen control system continues to evolve with further granularity of control over combustion and feed parameters. This linked with the intelligent buffer control which was added in 2014 which allowed the boiler to modulate based on measured heat load. This technology, which is standard on the larger Schmid boilers has been now fitted to the smaller UTSL range, and increases the efficiency and reduces the heat generation lag which is common in other boilers.
