Eco fuels have been working with Elvaco's M-BUS master to remotely interrogate M-BUS compatible heat meters in order to collect data for diagnosis and reporting purposes.
The main data read is the meter reading, and with this being time stamped at regular intervals it is possible to track heat usage as often as once per minute.
Using this technology Eco Fuels can remotely interrogate heat meters to get key parameters such as instantaneous mass flow as well as flow and return temperatures. This assists in remote reporting and fault diagnosis.
Each individual heat meter can be interogated periodically or on demand, even using a mobile phone. Eco fuels have set up reporting on a 30 minute basis which enables heat usage reporting to see heat demand profiles. This allows the fine tuning of boiler performance to match heat demand, especially in the case of peaky heat loads.
Eco fuels have developed a custom web reporting tool into which heat usage data can be analysed over time.
